Bench Centre

The primary function of the Bench Centre is to check different geometric tolerance such as cylindricity and runout. In addition to this, bench centre is also used to measure the pitch circle diameter of gears.

  • Made generally as per IS: 5980.
  • Made from good quality of castings with high density alloyed cast iron castings conforming to Grade FG-220 of IS: 210.
  • Stress relieved and hand scraped surface.
  • All the centres are provided with carbide tipped dead centres.

PCD Gear Testing Attachments

With our PCD attachment, the PCD of a gear can be measured accurately. The simple mechanism allows the operator to inspect a large number of parts in a relatively short time with better accuracy.

  • Made out of good quality of castings and is designed as such to give fast & accurate readings of PCD of a Gear.
  • The main shaft moves on taper roller bearings resulting in smooth, accurate and fast working.
  • The measuring balls can be changed for different modules of gears.

Granite Bench Centre

A granite bench centre comprises of a granite surface plate with dead centres fixed at one end of the surface plate. The dead centres move over a cast iron insert that is placed after carving out the granite to make it on an even working surface as the rest of the plate. It is suitable for measuring the geometric tolerances of complex parts which cannot be placed over a standard bench centre, the surface area of the plate can be used to rest those parts.

  • Granite surface plate: Grade 0/ Grade 1.
  • Stress relieved and hand scraped cast iron t-slot inserted in granite surface plate on which the centres are aligned.
  • All the centres are provided with carbide tipped dead centres
  • Made from good quality castings with high density, alloyed cast iron castings conforming to grade FG-220 of IS: 210
